Winter Card Crafting

We have had three snow storms back to back each leaving us with a few more inches.  I thought I would take advantage of staying in by the fireplace and start making some cards.  My husband and I were married 28 years on February 25th.  Since I got a Cricut Explore for Christmas, I decided to try out the cut and print feature.  It was very easy to do and I really loved the little pigs.

My childhood friend's birthday will be March 5th, so I decided to make her a birthday card.  I used the Swirly Vines w/Hearts by Sizzix Embossing Folder, a ten piece die set by Sizzix called Balloons, Papertrey Ink paper for the background cardstock,  Doodlebug Design cardstock called Hello Sunshine was used on the front of the card. Also used Michaels Recollections silver cardstock to add a little bling.

I joined a Splitcoaster Swap back in December. Each month until June we send a Swap Sister her gifts.  My March Swap Sister will be getting this card in her gifts.  I really am getting spoiled with the print and cut feature on the Cricut.  Inside the card I cut a black pot on top of the pot I cut gold with gold coins beside the black pot.  I put a hand written sentiment..."Here is your "Pot of Gold" - Happy Crafting and Happy St. Patrick's Day.

I made a Get Well Card with Papertrey Ink cardstock.  I used My Favorite Things Stamp set called Under the Weather?  http://mftstamps.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=under+the+weather .  I used Bic Mark it pens and Copic Sketch markers for the face.

I have really enjoyed my crafting card time, but soon the snow will melt and it will be back to regular routine.  Of course, my craft area looks like a mess, but that is part of the fun.
Thanks for stopping by
Warmly, Tippy

Mojo Monday Challenge 386

Challenge:

Mojo Monday386

This card was a real challenge for me with all the layers.  I almost gave up, but kept pushing forward to get it done.  I had never made a slim card like this.  It turned out to be fun.

Cardstock:  Gina K. Designs, Wisteria lane and matching cardstock, the Friendship sticker and flower were from K & Company.

This is my second challenge for cards.  It has been a real learning process for me. I enjoy sending thank you cards to others as well as other type cards.
